The result of the elections for mayors and governors held this Sunday in Colombia meant a setback for the government of President Gustavo Petro, who expressed his willingness to work with the new leaders of other political signs in view of this "new scenario".

"A new scenario is opening up. As president I will relate with all local leaders", Petro assured in a message in the social network 'X' (formerly Twitter), where he reaffirms what he said on Sunday night in an address after knowing the results of the regional elections.
