A pet owner was shocked when he checked up on his Doberman puppy through surveillance footage - to discover it sweeping the floor with a broom.

The owner made the remarkable discovery after checking CCTV footage from his house in Hebei Province, in northern China. Curious to see what the dog had been up to while alone at home on October 26, he had not expected to find it had been cleaning.

In the video, the playful Doberman is seen dressed in a white and blue puppy jersey and holding a broom in its mouth by the handle. As it dragged along the broom, it simultaneously swept the floor with it in all corners of the home.

The dog almost seemed like it was with a set purpose as it even reached beneath the sofa and under the kitchen table with the broom.
