A dashcam captured the horrifying moment a Texas state trooper's vehicle slammed into an 18-wheeler belonging to e-commerce giant Amazon during a chase in the city of Katy on October 31.

The incident happened at around 9:50pm at Mason and Park Row on Halloween night.

It began when Texas DPS (Department of Public Safety -- Texas' de facto state police) troopers started their chase of a woman fleeing troopers.

She rammed a trooper's vehicle and ran over a trooper's foot before she was stopped two 'PIT maneuvers' (tactical ramming) a short time later.

Three DPS vehicles sustained damage in the pursuit and one trooper sustained a minor injury to his foot, but the worse incident of the night came when an additional trooper crashed head-on into a huge truck at Mason and Park Row, utterly wrecking their vehicle.

That trooper was flown from the scene via helicopter. His condition was not immediately known though officials said he was able to talk to emergency workers involved in his evacuation.

Incredibly, the there were five people in the vehicle of the suspect that allegedly started the chaos, including three children, some of them in costumes.

Candy could be seen outside the vehicle at the end of the pursuit.

Multiple people in the suspect vehicle were transported to nearby hospitals, in varying conditions.

Per radio traffic, the female suspect had a warrant out of Kansas and may have provided a fake name to troopers prior to fleeing the traffic stop that was the start of the pursuit.
