A massive explosion from the gas leak at a massage parlour left one injured in northern China.

The dramatic video was filmed in Shenyang City in Liaoning Province on November 1.

A massage therapy shop burst into a white plume of smoke, leaving the street in disarray and local residents scrambling for safety.

The streetscape transformed into a disaster zone, with citizens seen ducking behind cars for cover and a passing van jolted to an abrupt halt, a testament to the force of the explosion.

One person was injured and was swiftly transported to the hospital, where they are being treated with no immediate threat to their life hanging in the balance.

First responders descended on the scene in a display of rapid mobilisation. Police, firefighters, emergency services, construction, market supervision, urban management, local street offices, and gas company officials were all present, coordinating in a frenetic ballet to address the aftermath.

The preliminary investigation at the site pointed to a suspected gas leak from an underground pipeline exterior to the building. The gas department is diligently tracing the source of the leak and working on repairs.

经现场初步查验，疑似楼外地下燃气管线有漏点，燃气部门正在寻找漏点并修复。目前，相关工作正在进行中。
