Wounded and foreigners evacuated from Gaza to Egypt for the first time since the conflict began

A group of wounded and another group of citizens with foreign passports crossed from Gaza into Egypt on Wednesday under a deal brokered by Qatar, Egyptian media and a source at the border reported, in the first evacuation from the Strip since the war began following the Hamas terror group's assault on Israel on Oct. 7.
The evacuees were taken in ambulances through the strategic Rafah border crossing, the only one currently operational. According to the agreement reached between Egypt, Israel, the United States, Qatar and Hamas, a number of foreigners, workers of international organizations and the seriously wounded will be allowed to leave the besieged territory.
