Excited Londoners cheerfully 'protest' for Oxford Street's Christmas lights to be switched on despite apparent delay
A group of excited Londoners eagerly awaited the switching on of Oxford Street's Christmas lights in central London, despite terrible weather on Thursday 2 November.
The switch on was due to go ahead despite Storm Ciaran bringing rain and high winds to the UK, but according to the group, it had not happened at the time they expected, necessitating a long wait.
Despite this, the cheerful group kept their spirits up, joking that they were 'protesting' for the switch-on and that 'it's worth the wait'.
