California Governor Gavin Newsom protected a child during a basketball tumble at a primary school in China.

The video was filmed in Beijing on October 27.

Newton paid a visit to Beijing's Yuexing Elementary School and played basketball with pupils.

After Newton accidentally collided with a young boy, sending them both tumbling to the ground. Instead of letting the boy fall, Newton instinctively scooped him up in his arms.

After a moment of playful jests, the two rose to their feet with smiles on their faces.

Newton’s wife also inquired about the child's well-being, ensuring that the boy was unharmed before leaving the scene.

Governor Newsom’s trip to China was about delivering real climate action and creating opportunities for future collaboration and cooperation. He was the first American Governor to visit China in over 4 years.
