In response to a series of 911 calls reporting a dog in distress at Baisley Pond, Officers Williams and Esposito from the 113th Precinct took swift action. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered an 8-year-old blind Border Collie named Sparky in immediate danger of drowning in the frigid waters.

Without hesitation, the officers entered the pond and executed a daring rescue mission. Their prompt and heroic efforts paid off, as they successfully retrieved Sparky from the perilous situation. Following the rescue, Sparky was promptly transported to an emergency veterinary facility.

On the 1st of November, 2023, Sparky was joyously reunited with its owner at the emergency vet, thanks to the courageous and quick-thinking response of Officers Williams and Esposito. This remarkable act of valor highlights the dedication of law enforcement officers in ensuring the safety and well-being of both humans and their beloved pets in our community.
