In response to severe weather conditions in Tuscany, a significant deployment of firefighters and emergency personnel has been enacted. Since the onset of intense rain and strong winds yesterday, the region has witnessed numerous challenges. The National Corps of Firefighters has played a pivotal role, with 403 units actively engaged in rescue and relief efforts across the provinces of Florence, Pistoia, Pisa, Livorno, and Prato.

To bolster the response, three helicopters, divers, aquatic and river teams, and reinforcements from several regions, including Lazio, Campania, Umbria, Piedmont, Puglia, Calabria, and Lombardy, have joined the mission, equipped with four amphibious vehicles.

Rescue operations have been conducted to assist individuals trapped in their vehicles in underpasses, to address street and basement flooding, and to clear fallen trees. Among the most critical situations reported is the flooding of the Bisenzio River in Campi Bisenzio (FI). Additionally, in Lamporecchio, located in the province of Pistoia, search efforts are underway to locate two missing individuals.
