Shocking footage from China of two buildings in a hospital that were demolished reportedly with doctors and patients still inside.

The video, filmed at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University in Henan Province on Thursday, shows the ash and rubble in a CT room and a morgue the walls of which have been destroyed.

A man who works in the hospital is also interviewed in the footage, saying that he and his colleagues were completely unaware of the demolition when it started in the morning, and were working as usual in the CT room with a patient waiting for examination.

He also claimed that people from the demolition team injured three hospital staff during a conflict, while he had no idea who organised the demolition work.

According to news reports, six bodies in the morgue were buried under the ruins and the some of the equipment in the CT room was destroyed during the violent demolition that involved over thirty people. Three hospital staff suffered minor injuries.

Local authorities have reportedly carried out investigation into the incident.
