An adorable little girl burst into tears when a giraffe poked its head into the car window beside her to eat some carrots.

Three-year-old Ayrin was excited to feed the animals with her family but appeared overwhelmed with their size up close and cried as one of them took the veggies in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, on October 29.

Footage shows Ayrin holding a bowl of healthy snacks to give to the zoo animals until a long-necked giraffe showed up next to her.

Ayrin tried to give it a slice, but she was too scared and sobbed as the animal helped itself to the food in the container on the girl's lap.

Her mum said: 'She loves giraffes, so we went to feed them, but it was her first time doing it. She did not know how to react. She was cute and funny.'
