Authorities in New Delhi are studying the possibility of limiting vehicle traffic and decreeing new measures to deal with the toxic cloud that has enveloped the city for several days.

According to Delhi's Minister of Environment, Forests and Wildlife Development, Gopal Rai, they are considering limiting the movement of vehicles, allowing those with odd-numbered license plates in the last digit to move on alternate days.

The measure is in addition to several that the city government has already been taking this week, including extending school closures and banning the entry of trucks carrying non-essential goods.
