A boy luckily avoided serious injuries after tumbling from a scooter into the path of an oncoming car in southwestern China.

Dashcam footage filmed in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province on November 2 shows a boy suddenly falling off the back of a scooter while the vehicle was moving along a busy road.

An oncoming car braked to slow down immediately to avoid hitting the child.

The boy quickly got to his feet and began to chase after his father's scooter, while calling out “daddy” in an attempt to be noticed.

The car followed the scooter closely behind, honking the horn repeatedly in an attempt to alert the oblivious parent.

“Hey! Hey! Mister! You’ve lost your child, your little one has fallen off!” shouted the car's driver, desperately trying to catch the father’s attention.

It was not until the car sped up to pull alongside the scooter that the father became aware of the situation.

Fortunately, the boy has not sustained any serious injuries.

行车记录仪视频显示：当天下午，一辆轿车正在路上行驶，车主刚变道，就看到从前方摩托车上突然掉下来一个孩子，车主立马刹车降低车速。
从摩托车上掉落下来的孩子看上去只有6、7岁左右，没戴头盔。孩子掉下来后，在地上愣了几秒，随后爬起来一路小跑，喊着“爸爸”追赶摩托车，但孩子掉下车，这位爸爸毫无察觉，仍在自顾自前行。当时，车道上的孩子处境十分危险，轿车车主紧跟其后连续按喇叭提醒。
轿车驾驶人：“嗨！嗨！师傅！你的孩子掉了，你的小娃娃掉了。”
但这位爸爸还是没有反应，轿车车主连忙加快车速追上摩托，再次大声提醒。
这时，这位爸爸才反应过来，庆幸的是孩子并无大碍。
按照《中华人民共和国道路交通安全法》，摩托车后座不得乘坐未满12周岁的未成年人，即使到了12岁也得佩戴头盔。
