In a joint effort, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in coordination with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), organized numerous removal flights that included single adults and family units bound for Central America and Colombia. These operations were part of the broader initiative, which encompassed dozens of routine ICE removal flights conducted across the hemisphere and worldwide.

Since May 2023, the DHS has played a pivotal role in the removal or return of more than 336,000 individuals. Notably, this figure comprises over 50,000 individual family unit members. These initiatives reflect the ongoing efforts to address immigration-related challenges and maintain immigration policies.
