Fisherman helps stingray give birth to pups and releases them back to sea
A fisherman helped a stingray to give birth and then released it back to the sea with its babies.
The angler accidentally caught the blue spotted stingray in his net and was about to throw it back into the water when it struggled to push out an offspring in Satun province, Thailand, on November 18, 2022.
Footage shows the kind local using pliers to pull the pup's tail out of its mother before it slipped out, followed by a sibling.
Both pups were returned to the ocean with their mother, and all swam away from the boat.
