Oklahoma County deputies apprehended a 29-year-old man over the weekend after he was discovered passed out in his vehicle at a green traffic light, with his young child in the back seat.

The incident unfolded early Saturday morning, and the sheriff's office has since released body camera footage of the arrest, shedding light on the concerning situation. In the video, deputies can be seen confronting the driver, who had dozed off with the green light illuminating his vehicle.

"Hey, hey," a deputy can be heard saying.

"Sorry," the suspect responded.

"What are you doing? You got a kid in the back seat, and you're passed out," the deputy pointed out.

"That's my son. I need to go home," the suspect replied.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office reported that the man's car was in drive, with his foot on the brake. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, deputies uncovered several fentanyl pills, some of which were located near the toddler's feet.

As a result of the incident, the suspect now faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence and child endangerment. This case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with impaired driving, particularly when a child's safety is at risk.
