This footage was filmed and produced 7 November 2023.

A 10-foot alligator was safely relocated from Boca Grande Beach on 07.11.2023.

The alligator was spotted by beachgoers in the morning and was later captured by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) officers with the assistance of the Lee County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) and Boca Grande Fire Department.

The alligator was estimated to be between 8 and 10 years old and weighed approximately 500 pounds. It was taken to a nearby wildlife rehabilitation facility, where it will be evaluated and released back into the wild.

The FWC said that it is not uncommon for alligators to be found in coastal areas, especially during the winter months when they are looking for warmer water. However, the agency urged residents and visitors to be aware of their surroundings and to never approach or feed alligators.
