This is the dramatic moment a young woman narrowly escapes injury when a large box full of fire extinguishers accidentally falls off the back of a truck and explodes.

The close scare was caught on CCTV cameras outside what appears to be a warehouse in China's south-western Sichuan, at around 12:10 pm on November 7.

In the footage, the woman is seen standing next to a cargo truck while a worker unloads the numerous boxes stashed in the back of the vehicle.

But as the worker apparently tried to lift up one of the boxes packed with fire extinguishers with a forklift, it lost balance and toppled on the ground.

The impact seemingly caused damage to at least one of the pressurised containers and gas began spraying out in all directions. The woman could then be seen running away terrified. Thankfully, no one was injured.

She said: 'Work safely! It is especially important to ensure your own safety and the safety of your cargo.'
