Israeli troops appear to fire in direction of girl filming them from a window in Shu'fat refugee camp in Jerusalem
Israeli troops appeared to open fire as a girl filmed them from the window of her home during an Israeli raid in Shu'fat refugee camp on the outskirts of Jerusalem.
The incident happened on Thursday 9 November, when the Israeli military carried out a number of raids in the West Bank and nearby.
The girl was filming the troops from a vantage point high above them. It is not known if that was a factor in the decision to open fire or whether they were firing directly at her.
The girl filming was not injured.
Shu'fat camp is in territory annexed by Israel and is part of Jerusalem's municipal boundaries, allowing residents the right to live in Jerusalem (unlike West Bank Palestinians) and carry Jerusalem IDs. Not everyone in the camp is necessarily considered a refugee.
