This is the heartwarming moment a multitasking dad soothed his newborn baby and rubbed his dog's tummy at once.

Footage shows Richard Bolalin stretched between his baby and his pet dog in Bulacan, the Philippines, on October 30.

He gently patted his newborn baby, Kenzo and rubbed his pet dog, Ayu, a seven-month-old Shih Tzu lying on a pillow with its belly exposed.

Richard said he doesn't normally attend on both of his baby and pet. He added: 'My wife is assigned to the baby, and I was assigned to take care of the dog.

'We don't want to shock Ayu that we have a new baby aside from her when we go home, because we treat her as our first child, and we don't want her to feel jealous to the newborn baby.

'So, we still give her the same attention we gave her like before and making sure that nothing will change and still treat her as our Baby. We consider them as siblings.'
