Footage reportedly shows a Ukrainian sniper taking out two Russian soldiers at a distance of 700 metres using a U.S. made Barrett sniper rifle.

The images, filmed through the scope of the rifle, show the two targets in the distance as the sniper fires what appears to be four shots at them.

Two of the shots appear to hit their targets.

The images were obtained from the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel General Oleksandr Stanislavovych Syrskyi, on Tuesday, November 7, along with a statement saying: 'Bakhmut direction. 'Ghosts' are working. It was possible to destroy two Russians from a distance of 700 metres. Worked with Barrett MRAD 338.'

The images and statement were also relayed by the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Barrett MRAD (multi-role adaptive design) is an American-made sniper rifle that is used by a number of countries including the United States, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, and Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
