Cedar Mountain Fire Rescue Battles Brush Fire on Cascade Lake Road Amidst Burn Ban In North Carolina, USA

At 12:38 pm on November 7th, 2023, Cedar Mountain Fire Rescue received a call regarding a brush fire on Cascade Lake Road. Crews worked tirelessly throughout the afternoon and evening to bring the fire under control. The fire lines will be monitored overnight, and the crews will return tomorrow.
Residents are advised that the dry conditions in the area are conducive to brush fires, and they should be vigilant for smoke. The county is currently under a burn ban, and all burning permits have been suspended.
Cedar Mountain Fire Rescue extends its gratitude to the N.C. Forest Service, Brevard Fire Department, Connestee Fire Rescue, Little River Volunteer Fire Department, Lake Toxaway Volunteer Fire Dept, and Rosman Fire Rescue for their assistance in containing the brush fire.
