Devotees are celebrating the 'largest temple fair' held yearly in Samut Prakan, Thailand.

The Phra Samut Chedi and Red Cross Fair is being held at the iconic Phra Samut Chedi in the outskirts of Bangkok.

The 12-day festivaL started with an opening ceremony, during which a sacred red cloth was paraded around for blessings before being tied around the Phra Samut Chedi spire. A candlelight procession was also held as part of the festivities

At the fair, tourists can explore stalls brimming with food, merchandise, or go on amusement rides on the temple grounds.

The fair will run from November 3 to 14 this year.

Phra Samut Chedi is a sacred landmark completed in Samut Prakan province during the reign of King Rama III in the 18th century.

Said to house several Buddhist relics, the stupa has become an iconic landmark in the province.
