Malta on Saturday commemorated the Armistice Day, which marked the conclusion of World War I (WWI) in 1918, at the iconic Saluting Battery of the Upper Barrakka in Malta's capital Valletta.
A two-minute silence was observed amid two salute cannons. Doves of peace soared into the air.
Maltese President George Vella and other representatives laid wreaths during the commemoration event.
