"The Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit held in the Saudi capital of Riyadh on Saturday called for an immediate cessation of military operations in Gaza.
The summit gathered a number of Islamic and Arab countries and organizations to come up with a unified stand regarding the developments in Gaza and the Palestinian territories.
During the summit, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi called on the international community to pressure Israel to stop the ongoing Palestinian bloodshed and address the 'root causes' of the decades-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict."

"Relentless Israeli attacks against Palestinian hospitals in Gaza continue, focusing most of the pounding on Al Shifa Hospital where tens of thousands of people are trapped inside, including medical staff. The hospital is surrounded by Israeli tanks, which are targeting any moving object around the hospital, as Doctors Without Borders confirmed that people were being shot at as they tried to exit the hospital. And the (Hamas-run) Ministry of Health in Gaza said the Al Shifa complex has become a theater for Israeli military operations.
The entrance of the hospital was heavily bombarded, causing tens of casualties. The (Hamas-run) Ministry of Health in Gaza announced hours ago that all services in the hospital have been suspended."

"Israeli army on Saturday denied reports that its troops launched attack at Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza. A senior military officer said in a video statement that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is fighting against Hamas militants around the hospital, but didn't shoot at the hospital. He added that anyone who wants to leave the hospital could do so. Al Shifa Hospital is the largest hospital in Gaza. Israel has been accusing Hamas of setting its operational headquarters under the ground of this hospital."
