Curious monkeys in China zoo play with phone dropped by visitor
Curious monkeys played with a phone that was dropped by a visitor in a zoo in northern China.
The video was filmed in Taiyuan City in Shanxi Province on November 10.
A young woman, while leisurely feeding monkeys during her visit, experienced an unexpected turn of events when her smartphone accidentally fell into the monkey enclosure.
Seizing the moment, a curious monkey grabbed the phone and began examining it with great interest, flipping it over and scrutinizing it from all angles. However, the novelty soon wore off, and the monkey nonchalantly discarded the phone.
Left with no other choice, the woman sought assistance from the zoo staff. An elderly zookeeper ventured into the monkey habitat and successfully retrieved the phone.
Much to the woman's relief, her phone was found with only the protective film shattered, while the screen remained intact.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
