Uncooked joint of raw beef TWITCHES as butcher cuts meat
A joint of raw beef was so fresh it twitched as a butcher tried to cut it up in south-east China.
The bizarre footage emerged after a customer filmed the butcher cutting up steak for her at the shop in Guangdong Province on November 9.
Each time the butcher cut into the joint, the steak seemed to pulse, as if it was trying to avoid the knife.
Experts said that the freshly slaughtered animal's nerve endings in its muscles could have been still alive and responding to the stimulus of the knife. Others believe the steer could have been fed on a diet of growth hormones that were still active after its death.
