"China and the USA are the leading economies of the world. One developed, the second one although developing, but it's the number two in the overall global economic context. So from that perspective, that's important that both of these economies have to engage in terms of moving forward. And as the APEC meeting has a motto (theme) that they want to have a resilient and sustainable future for all, that can only happen if these two economies engaged with each other.
China, on the one hand, we consider (it) as a kind of growth motor for the whole world. There is now a concept of the whole supply chain. And in that supply chain, China is there to provide technology-based, more cost-efficient solutions. So from that perspective, it is important to actually conceptualize that if these two economies don't engage with each other, then the whole world cannot achieve a resilient economic or prosperous future for us. So it's not just about the U.S. and China now, it's about the whole world in terms of the economic platform.
And we are looking forward that these two big nations' leadership would come to certain solutions, which would be a win-win for both the countries as well as for the whole world."
