The total installed capacity of new energy in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region had reached 60.383 million kilowatts as of Nov. 4, according to State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd.

The region's installed new energy capacity includes 31.335 million kilowatts of wind power and 29.048 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power.

Rich in wind and solar power resources, Xinjiang is one of the leading regions in the country in terms of new energy development.
