On the 15th of November, firefighters conducted a helicopter rescue operation on the Piave River near Ponte di Piave (TV) to save a fisherman trapped in "quicksand" near the embankment. The man had sunk up to his waist in the mud, leaving him immobilized.

Managing to alert the emergency services by phone, the distressed fisherman prompted a swift response. A helicopter rescue team located him amidst the vegetation, descended, and harnessed the man for extraction from the treacherous mud trap. The fisherman was then hoisted aboard the helicopter. The aircraft landed in a designated area where ground firefighting teams were stationed. Medical personnel from Suem were also present, contributing to a timely and successful rescue operation.
