Two pedestrians narrowly avoided injuries as slabs of snow fell off building’s roof in northern China.

The video was filmed in Shuangyashan City in Heilongjiang Province on November 14.

Two pedestrians were walking past under a building when, unexpectedly, a massive pile of snow descended from above. The man, luckily, glanced upward in time, sensing the imminent danger, and swiftly moved out of harm's way. The woman, caught off guard, pressed herself against a nearby car to evade the falling snow.

Fortunately, both of them emerged unscathed.

Following continuous snowfall, rising temperatures, and day-night temperature differences, there's an increased risk of snow accumulation leading to sudden falls. Shuangyashan has witnessed multiple incidents of snow cascading from rooftops, causing damage to parked vehicles.

Currently, emergency management authorities are actively inspecting and clearing rooftops in abandoned residential areas to address the safety hazards posed by falling ice and snow.

11月14日，黑龙江双鸭山，大雪后楼顶出现了积雪，两名路人从楼下已经清理完积雪的人行道通过时，大片积雪突然从天而降，男子所幸提前抬头看了一眼，发觉到了异常马上跑开，女子紧急之下紧贴着旁边的汽车上躲避，幸运的是两人都没有收到伤害。
据了解，连续降雪后，随着气温回升和昼夜温差的原因，很容易发生积雪坠落，目前双鸭山市已发生多起积雪坠落事件，有路边车辆被砸坏，目前应急管理部门已经展开对弃管小区屋顶存在坠冰落雪安全隐患的排查清理。
