A crane on top of a tower block being built in the Philippines collapsed when an earthquake struck the country today.

Footage shows the construction equipment folded over the side of the building in Davao City on Friday November 17. Chunks of concrete were later seen falling from the structure.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) reported. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said no tsunami was expected.

Damage and aftershocks can be expected from the offshore quake, the Philippines' seismology agency said in a bulletin. Intensity 8 were felt in the southern Philippines provinces of Sarangani and South Cotabato, it added.
