Inspired by the vision of HM King Charles III, Nansledan is an award-winning development at the heart of Cornwall’s famed north coast. His Majesty’s vision was to create a thriving mixed-use community with homes, shops, offices, cafes/restaurants and leisure opportunities all within walkable neighbourhoods.

The development is being led and managed by the Duchy of Cornwall, which owns the majority of the land that Nansledan has been built upon. Established in 1337, the Duchy of Cornwall is a private estate that funds the public, charitable and private activities of the Duke of Cornwall and his family. The current Duke is HRH William, The Prince of Wales, who is the 25th Duke in the Estate’s history.

Taking its name from the revived Cornish language, Nansledan means ‘broad valley’. The development is well on its way to becoming a sustainable community of up to 4,000 new homes (including third-party land), supported by significant employment creation. Nansledan already has its own shops, schools and public spaces and will help to meet Newquay’s future needs in a complementary and sustainable manner.
