In a recent operation, IDF soldiers from the Paratroopers Brigade, supported by the Armored Corps, Engineering Corps, and the Israeli Air Force, targeted the residences of senior Hamas officials in the Sheikh Ijlin and Rimal areas of Gaza. The mission aimed to identify and dismantle Hamas infrastructure and assets. Approximately 35 tunnel shafts were discovered, along with a substantial cache of weapons. The soldiers also successfully neutralized Hamas members during the operation.

Furthermore, the military forces raided a Hamas military base affiliated with the organization's military intelligence unit. The operation uncovered ammunition depots and seven rocket launchers. The Rimal area, where senior Hamas officials reside, was revealed to be a hub for directing Hamas activities, with military posts and additional Hamas infrastructure present. The IDF's concerted efforts underscore ongoing measures to address security concerns in the region.
