In a factory in Uberlândia, Brazil, a vigilant lapwing stood resolute in defense of its nest, captured in a video by @valdecirsartor on September 11, 2023. The bird, nestled beside a seldom-used walkway, was seen removing unwanted sounds with wings spread protectively over three eggs. The videographer, mindful not to disturb the diligent guardian, recorded the moment on a cellphone. Subsequent attempts to document the hatchlings were thwarted, as the lapwing couple aggressively fended off any perceived threats. Despite the challenges, one offspring successfully reached adulthood, while the fate of the other two remained uncertain, possibly falling prey to the vigilant eyes of hawks in the vicinity.
