Traditional "Hingot" war breaks out in Gautampura, Indore, India

Men in central India's Madhya Pradesh engaged in a "Hingot" war wherein they threw fireballs at each other after the Diwali celebrations were over.

This incident happened in Gautampura, Indore and on November 13.

Visuals showed the people hurling these fireballs at each other. With the backdrop being a bit dark, these fireballs and crackers that the locals hurled were perfectly visible with sparks flying here and there.

"Hingots" are fruits obtained from the forest and these are emptied and gunpowder is filled inside of them. Later on, these are left to dry for a number of 8-10 days.These "Hingots" are then tied to wooden sticks, set on fire and thrown at each other in this tradition.

More than 30 people were unfortunately left injured in this festival with a huge crowd watching. The police had installed a massive 10- feet long net to keep the ones who had come to watch this event, safe. Also, more than 350 personnel were deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident.
