Javier Milei's first speech as President Elect in Buenos Aires, Argentina

President-elect Javier Milei celebrated on Sunday his wide victory over the ruling party candidate, Sergio Massa, and warned that as soon as he takes office he will make "drastic changes" because "the Argentine situation is critical and there is no room for gradualism".
"Argentina's situation is critical, the changes are drastic, there is no room for gradualism, there is no room for lukewarmness, there is no room for half measures", Milei said emphatically.
And he added: "If we do not move forward quickly, we are heading straight to the worst crisis in our history".
It was the only moment in which he raised his tone during a moderate speech in which he repeated that "today begins the reconstruction of Argentina".
Milei thanked his voters for "the miracle of having a libertarian liberal president".
"The model of decadence has come to an end, there is no turning back", said the libertarian in the bunker he set up in the Hotel Libertador.
