STORYLINE:
China grabbed three more gold medals at the 16th World Wushu Championships (WWC) in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S. on Sunday.
Yao Yang won the gold medal in the women's Jianshu event, Liu Xin won the women's Daoshu event, and Zhang Qingchun got the men's gold medal in the Qiangshu event.
As of Sunday, China continues to occupy the top spot in the gold medal list with seven gold medals, according to the International Wushu Federation.
The 16th World Wushu Championships, which began on Thursday in Fort Worth, brings the world's top Wushu athletes to the United States and sets up a platform for showcasing China's cultural legacy to the world.
This is the second time for the United States to host the tournament, with the third WWC having been held in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1995.
The 16th championships is due to conclude on Monday.
