The Surya Kiran Acrobatic Team of the Indian Air Force put on a spectacular show before the match began at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India.

Despite high hopes by the local crowd, visitors Australia won the World Cup for a record-extending sixth time.

The Aussies ended India’s dominant run in its home tournament with a six-wicket victory on the back of Travis Head’s 137.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the winners with the trophy, alongside Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles.
