Buenos Aires reported the election of right-wing libertarian Javier Milei as the new president of Argentina on Sunday. The country opted for an outsider with radical views to address economic challenges marked by triple-digit inflation, an impending recession, and increasing poverty.

Milei, capitalizing on voter dissatisfaction with the political mainstream, secured a victory by a more extensive margin than anticipated. He garnered approximately 56% of the vote, surpassing his rival, Peronist Economy Minister Sergio Massa, who conceded with just over 44% of the votes.
