Locals bathe in Sulphur hot spring in the Philippines
A hiker took a steaming hot mud bath in a sulphur spring in the Philippines.
Walker Mark Cuyos immersed himself in the refreshing natural attraction in Benguet province, the Philippines, on October 22.
Mark giggles and soaks his body in the knee-deep spring as bubbles and steam rose up around him. He then scrubbed the minerals on his body and face, despite the hot spring having an unpleasant smell of rotten eggs.
Mark said locals visit the spring for its therapeutic and healing power.
He added: 'Though it has an unpleasant smell of rotten eggs, you can actually take a dip and enjoy the warmth of these sulfur springs here. It is said that natural sulfur springs have long been used as means to alleviate symptoms of joint and skin diseases.'
Soaking in Sulphur hot springs may offer benefits such as improved skin health, relief for joint and muscle pain, enhanced circulation, stress reduction, potential detoxification, respiratory benefits, and better sleep due to the warm water, Sulphur content, and relaxing environment.
