A couple of tourists have been hailed as heroes after they rescued a drunk couple from stormy waters in Sochi, Russia.

Footage from November 18 shows the tourists from Surgut named Alexander and Dolgat pulling the intoxicated couple from the sea.

The duo sprang into action after hearing the woman's cries for help.

Despite their courageous act, Alexander humbly insisted that he and Dolgat merely did what they felt obligated to do, downplaying any heroic status.
