Two pet dogs helped catch a python that raided their owner's home.

Footage shows the pooches cornering the 10ft-long reptile in the garage and barking at it to scare it away in Samut Prakan province, Thailand, on May 14.

The canines bit the tail of the wild animal before it was dragged away and secured by the resident.

Resident Voravoot Chueapakopkit said: ‘I heard the dogs barking, so I came out to check what it was about. I saw the snake, and my neighbour helped me catch it.'

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
