At Purulia railway station, a potentially perilous situation unfolded when an elderly passenger, approximately 60 years old, attempted to board a moving train. As he struggled with balance, he slid perilously from the footsteps, teetering on the brink of the gap between the train and the platform. Swiftly responding to the crisis, on-duty staff member LCT- Madhumita Ghosh sprang into action.

Despite an initial unsuccessful attempt to pull the elderly passenger to safety, Madhumita Ghosh demonstrated unwavering determination. With commendable persistence, she continued her efforts, managing to successfully rescue the aged passenger just in the nick of time, near the Foot over Bridge.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) promptly offered assistance, asking the elderly passenger to seek medical treatment. However, in a surprising turn of events, the passenger, along with his family members, chose to reboard the same train. Unfortunately, due to this decision, collecting specific passenger details became challenging.
