China's information and communications technology infrastructure provider Huawei supports Indonesia's telecommunications company Telkomsel in expanding its big data and fixed-mobile convergence services.
At the signing ceremony of an agreement on Wednesday in Jakarta, Telkomsel's Director of Information Technology Bharat Alva said the support is in a multi-cloud strategy, as well as lakehouse technology and "storage and compute decoupling" architecture which allows it to cut operating costs.
"We were impressed to see the solutions that Huawei Cloud brought to us and are very excited to see what can be achieved through our cooperation," Alva said.
This collaboration aims to improve the communication and network experience for more than 153.3 million customers throughout Indonesia, Alva added.
