Elderly woman plants hair in noodle bowl to scam free meal in Chinese restaurant
An elderly woman planted hair into her noodle bowl to scam a free meal in a restaurant in central China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Zhoukou in Henan Province on November 19, shows an elderly woman deliberately plucking a hair from her granddaughter's head and surreptitiously placing it in a bowl of noodles, priced at 8 yuan (£0.90).
She then asked the restaurant to waive the fee for the meal she had.
The restaurant owner, initially unaware of the deceit, complied with the request to waive the bill. However, later suspicions led to a review of the surveillance footage, revealing the truth of the matter.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
