A group of friends stumbled across a stunning phenomenon in Roma, Queensland, where a pool's reflection looks like a portal to another dimension.

Kristian Hasenkam filmed as his friend threw a stone into the pool, seeing its reflection create a stunning shimmering reflection on the rock adjacent.

Hasenkam told Newsflare: "When you’ve got a small window, where the sun hits the water at the perfect angle and you get this incredible phenomenon.

"So the first day we walked 10 km to get to this spot and it was overcast so the reflection didn’t work and we ended up having to walk all the way back.

"Adamant to see this beautiful phenomenon we hiked all the way back the next day to find this absolutely gorgeous reflective wall. We walked over grabbed a rock and took turns throwing them in.

"The sight was incredible so we tried throwing them in different areas at the same time to see what it would do. We stayed about two hours had some lunch and began the hike home still in oar at what we had just experienced.

"The funny part was people kept walking past and didn’t even notice it was there."

The video has racked up 5.5 million views on TikTok.
