The parade, officially kicking off the holiday season in the Queen City, commenced at 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of West 9th Street and North Tryon, proceeding south along Tryon to West Brooklyn Village Avenue.

This annual tradition shifted from Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving Eve in 2021, attracting spectators eager to usher in the festivities. While the parade remains a free event for attendees, reserved VIP seating tickets were available for purchase. The VIP seating area, extending from Levine Avenue to Brooklyn Village Avenue along Tryon Street, provided an enhanced viewing experience.

Notably, the event welcomed families, offering free admission for kids aged 2 and under if seated in an adult's lap. Parents could also reserve complimentary kids' tickets if additional seating was required.
