STORYLINE:

China Homelife Indonesia 2023 kicked off on Thursday in Jakarta, attracting around 1,000 Chinese companies and over 30,000 buyers both from Indonesia and other Southeast Asia countries to seek for cooperation opportunities.

The three-day event features a wide range of exhibits, such as textile and garment, maternal and infant products, household appliances, packaging materials, smart transportation, new energy and logistics.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Indonesian): ARINALDO RAHMAN, Indonesian businessman
"If we look at the promotions being carried out, this can offer a shortcut for us, business to business. We can take a look at what we don't know yet, manufacturers from China. And we don't have to travel all the way to China. We can see them here."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Indonesian): DANIEL WAHYUDI, Indonesian businessman
"My business is insurance, general insurance. I'm here to explore the opportunities."

SOUNDBITE 3 (Indonesian): ALBERT ATMADJA, Indonesian businessman
"I want to see if there are new opportunities and new things. We have to be up-to-date with the development of technology. Fortunately, because of events like this, everyone gathers together, so we don't have to bother looking around, just come to one location."

Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Jakarta.
