"The 39 Palestinian prisoners who are supposed to be released today from Israeli jails are expected to be released from this area from Ofer military prison in Ramallah City in the West Bank at 4:00 p.m. Jerusalem time as the truce between Hamas and Israel started hours ago.
Palestinians in Gaza welcomed the first truce this morning with mixed feelings after a very heavy 48 hours of nonstop air strikes and violent clashes ahead of the start of the agreement.
Palestinians are trying to breathe after 7 weeks of nonstop war in Gaza. 230 trucks of aid are supposed to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing today. And wounded Palestinians who could not get medical treatment are trying to find medical care and hospitals in other areas despite the lack of essentials.
While a large number of displaced Palestinians who moved south are trying to return to northern areas to check on their homes and their properties, many others have no place to go during this fighting pause as more than 50 percent of buildings in Gaza got destroyed."
